What language is your customer actually speaking?
Can you imagine what you yourself think when you just “know” that someone is “talking” to you?
We’ve all felt it, and we usually will end up doing business with them.
“they just knew what I was thinking about”, or “that’s EXACTLY what I was thinking!”, or even, “they just seem to ‘get’ me at that store”.
Do you know how they do this? By being very specific to the sense of their audience, using familiar words and phrases & images.
They outlined who they will be speaking to, what interests them, what behaviours they have or like. Everything connects when you are speaking the same language.
As soon as you “call out” – those people who are connected to these terms will respond or become interested. If you don’t call someone out, they simply miss what you are saying amongst the noise.
If your marketing is not working very well, this one little change to how you present yourself could potentially save your business, and point you in a better direction.
We often forget that someone ‘real’ is actually looking at our website and other pieces of our platform. It is, in fact, another person, not just another “visit”, “click” or even worse – a “user”. We often forget this human side of it.
Be specific. Be personal.
