“How much time do I need to spend ‘doing’ things with digital?” Seems like a valid question, right?
My answer – “what are you prepared to lose?”
No longer can we just sit and “hope” that what we do online will just simply start to work without any extra time or extra effort.
There is no “dividend” with digital. No free rides.
“You must be this tall to enjoy this ride,” applies.
Right now, most businesses are barely making it into the ‘status quo’ range. They are not excelling, when they really could be.
Digital is your sales; it’s your operations, it’s how you conduct business, it’s how you operate, and how you deliver and communicate. How much time & resources do you invest in the other areas of your business? Department of Operations, Department of Customer Service…. so, let me ask, where is your Department of Digital?
The challenge comes from all of these pieces feeling scattered across the internet. We’ve felt, for far too long, that things will just come together.
Digital needs to be deliberate, planned and implemented. There no longer is the ‘opportunity’ to slap things together and hope that they all work in unison – your customer knows this everytime they Google you.
Remember, you’re one click away from your competitor.
